Every year Dr. Maris Fletcher, Associate Professor of English, takes a group to tour parts of Europe. Anyone affiliated with ASU-Beebe is welcome on the tour.

In May of 2007, Dr. Fletcher organized group travel for Europe’s Mediterranean Coast.

On February 15, in the Owen Center Conference Room, a meeting was held for students, faculty, and staff members who were interested in signing up for the trip.

There was a $95 fee that was due at the time of registration, with installment options available. The trip cost less than $2,500, which included: round-trip airfare, seven overnight stays in hotels, complete European breakfast and dinner daily, full-time bilingual tour director, two sightseeing tours led by licensed local guides, and five visits to special attractions.

Points of interest included: Italy, France, and Spain, such as Milan, the Italian Riviera, and Cinque Terre, the French Riviera, with tours of Monaco, Nice, and St. Paul de Vence.

The group spent six nights in Spain, visiting places such as Barcelona, Parque Guell, as well as stops along the Costa Brava.
